What is a Supplier?
A supplier is a person or company that provides the ingredients, products, or services essential for your business.
From fresh food to packaging or kitchen equipment, suppliers are a key part of any hospitality supply chain.
In tSpoonLab, suppliers can be added manually or in bulk.
The bulk import option allows you to register multiple suppliers simultaneously — saving time and ensuring that all relevant information is centralized for easier order management and inventory control.
How to Import Suppliers in Bulk
In this video, we show you how to add suppliers in bulk to tSpoonLab using an XLSX file.
Step-by-Step Guide to Import Suppliers
1. Access the Suppliers Section
From the main dashboard, go to the Management tab.
Then select Suppliers from the submenu.
2. Download the Supplier File
Inside the Suppliers section, click on the three dots next to the search bar.
Select Export Suppliers.
This will generate an XLSX file you can download and use as a template to fill in your supplier data.
3. Complete the XLSX Supplier File
Open the downloaded file with any compatible spreadsheet program (such as Excel).
Fill in the available fields carefully, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
📢 Do not add new columns — only add new rows to avoid import errors.
Main fields include:
Supplier Name: Full company or supplier name.
Tax ID (NIF/CIF): Fiscal identification number.
Address: Full address, including postal code and city.
Phone & Email: Primary contact details.
Supplier Category: e.g., Fruits & Vegetables, General.
IBAN: Bank account details for payments.
Website: Supplier’s URL, if applicable.
Payment Method: e.g., bank transfer.
Double-check all data before saving the file.
4. Import the Supplier File
Return to Management > Suppliers in tSpoonLab.
Click on the three dots next to the search bar and select Import Suppliers.
Upload your completed file from your device.
The system will process the file and automatically register all listed suppliers with their corresponding data.
